I am 40. I live in the UK. I was brought up around and live near London, have had a good education and work in one of the ‘professions’.  I’m married, with 2.4 children (if a dog counts as 0.4).

I have had an urge to keep a diary for many years, having enjoyed Adrian Mole, Alan Clark and Alan Bennett over the years. In fact, this has been mainly inspired by Alan B., whose writing taught me what ‘apropos’ meant and also how a diary can reflect everything from the historic to the whimsical.  I like words for their own sake, the sound, feel and impact they have.
